Hotel de verbier
VERBIER
Located in the center of Verbier, one of Switzerland’s most famous ski resorts, this completely remodeled historic hotel subtly combines art deco influences with alpine lodge style for a cozy yet elegant feel. With 32 bedrooms, a gym and boutique spa, the hotel comprises large balconies that offer exceptional views of the Alps. The beauty of the surrounding landscape inspired the color palette of natural and earthy tones — from greens and browns to creams and rusts — while reclaimed local wood, mineral paint, local and Scottish wools, as well as Belgian linens were used throughout.
Designed as an ode to nature, the interior spaces feature bespoke furniture and accessories inspired by typical 1930s-era motifs — including rugs, curtain upholstery details, headboard nails and shelves — that dialogue with primitive alpine creations, as well as mountain and ski photography. Iconic design pieces by Jacques Adnet, Pierre Chareau and Guillerme et Chambron, among others, complement the inviting atmosphere.
Through this project, we wanted to subtly evoke a bygone era without being nostalgic. This renovation, which was nurtured by a contemporary vision, truly roots the project in the present time, inviting guests to connect with the environment.
