Guéthary
BIARRITZ

This authentic 19th century Basque property is situated on the top of a hill affording incredible views of the ocean to the west and mountains to the east. Located near the beautiful village of Guéthary, at once a tiny fishing village but also an internationally renowned surf spot, the property occupies a uniquely untouched corner of France.
The design of the main house is traditionally Basque by its architecture with flourishes of Paris sourced antiques and architectural elements to suit its owners whose primary residence is in the capital. A mix and match of 70’s pieces like a vintage chrome fireplace from the Clignancourt flea Market, to a hand painted vintage rug and vintage Serge Mouille floor lamps, a vast array of different styles which combine into a home with a distinct personality.
A minimal palette with touches of ethnic patterns and rare exotic wood species establishes a subtle dialogue from the mid century.
The variety of influences from a Raak wall lamp installation to Baumann bistrot chairs to other Italian 50s findings transforms this home into a chic surf lodge.
